Hotels in Boulder Colorado - From Budget to Luxury

Boulder hotels

The largest concentration of Boulder Colorado hotels is around the "gateway" to the city, or where the Boulder turnpike enters the city. Here you will generally find larger hotels with well know brands. There are a couple of exceptions with somewhat more of a local or unique character. This area of Boulder has a good mix of hotels, including luxury hotels, budget hotels, and a good selection of lodging in between. There are also a few other budget hotels scattered about the city.

There are only two larger hotels in the downtown core of Boulder Colorado. One is a historic hotel with a lot of class and history. The other, recently built, is without question a high ranking luxury hotel. There are also a couple of bed and breakfasts in the downtown area.

Being in the downtown area is a luxury in itself. With countless restaurants and shops all within walking distance of the Pearl Street pedestrian mall, you have the utmost in convenience. But if you stay in any of the hotels around the city, or even one of the close by towns, getting into the downtown area of Boulder Colorado is easier than you might expect. The best thing to do is just park in any of the several public parking garages in the downtown area. There are reasonably priced and you can get to anywhere on foot from there.

Hotels in Other Areas Around Boulder Colorado

There are some other areas around Boulder that are certainly worth consideration. The far western part of the city has a couple of older lodges that are unique to Boulder and Colorado. They offer a more country atmosphere, yet are also walking distance to the downtown area. A little bit farther west up Boulder canyon, there is another bed and breakfast, and a smaller lodge, too.

Another place to look is just a few miles east of the city. Here, in Niwot and Gunbarrel, there are a couple smaller, boutique type lodges. To the north of Boulder, there are also a couple more country lodges near the town of Lyons. All these areas have very easy access to the city, unlike being somewhere along the Boulder turnpike on the way to Denver.
